Kenni loves Palmer. She considers herself lucky to have been born and raised here. After graduating from Palmer High with an International Baccalaureate Diploma, she earned a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from Naropa University.
After college, she chose to come home and brought her Irish husband Niall back to Palmer, because she knows this is the best place to live and raise a family. They bought their house around the corner from Kenni’s elementary school and as small business owners, they love giving back to our friendly, family-minded community. Kenni and Niall can often be found walking, running, and riding bikes around town with their son Finlo.
Kenni is a writer and community organizer, and currently serves as a director on the boards of Alaska Family Services and Radio Free Palmer (Big Cabbage Radio). She served as the student representative to the Mat-Su Borough School District School Board, she was the first student representative to the MSBSD Curriculum Council, and served on the MSBSD Gifted Education Task Force.
Kenni is endorsed by the AFL-CIO Mat-Su coalition of unions. Including the Local 302, IBEW, MSBEA, and MSEA.
On Palmer City Council, she will advocate for community engagement, provide a fresh new perspective, and commit to ensure Palmer is the best place to live, play, and raise a family.
